Nature Ensenada de Utría is the heart of the park and one of its main draws. This arm of the sea reaches inland surrounded by mountains covered in tropical rainforest, creating a spectacular and unique landscape. The inlet is a natural refuge for dolphins and for the humpback whales that come to these waters to breed, and its calm waters are perfect for swimming.
Beach A quiet beach about 20 minutes by boat from Ciudad Mutis, ideal for those looking for privacy and contact with nature. It is one of the spots where baby turtles are released into the sea, and where several beachfront lodges are concentrated.
Beach A striking two-kilometre beach along which the tropical rainforest merges with the sea. It ranks among the most beautiful in the Colombian Pacific and hosts the community sea turtle conservation programmes.
Viewpoint The best panoramic view of the bay. The climb is short — around 20 minutes — and the zigzag path has wooden benches to rest along the way. It is the favourite spot to watch the sun set over the Pacific.
A 20-metre waterfall in the middle of the rainforest, about a 15-minute walk from the beach. Nabugá is a small, cheerful and quiet village made up of Afro-descendant and Embera Indigenous families, who are the ones guiding the walk to the falls.
Beach A long, beautiful beach lined with palm trees. You get there on foot (between one and two hours) or by boat (20 to 25 minutes). It has a calm, pleasant river for bathing, very popular with locals on Sundays.
